Is there something in you that feels like it has to be perfect in order to deserve what you want or need?
Maybe you woke up with a regret hangover replaying how you might have annoyed someone or embarrassed yourself yesterday just by being you. Or perhaps, you had a big project to finish and you needed help, but couldn't ask for it without feeling burning shame. Maybe you’re so terrified of disappointing people you care about that you have found yourself closing yourself off and sharing less. Perhaps you just can’t shake the sense that in your parenting, your work, or your relationship you’re doing something wrong…
Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life…
While you try and practice “self care,” you end up feeling guilty and don’t feel renewed
Your’e exhausted by the energy it takes to monitor the needs and comfort of those around you
You feel overwhelmed by the inner chatter telling you your not doing anything right causing you to be distracted from work, home, and relationships
You can’t remember the last time you authentically shared your worries or problems with someone and didn’t get uncomfortable
You’ve noticed you’re not able to do the things you enjoy, or when you try and do them it doesn’t bring you the joy it used to
If you're a parent, the burn out and pressure make it hard to be present with your children or yourself
Somatic, or emotion and body focused therapy for self esteem can help.
It may feel impossible now, but you can climb out of your inner hiding spot. You can feel confidant in speaking your ‘yes’ and ‘no’s’ in your work, relationships, and parenting. You can feel comfortable as just you.
And I can help you get there.
Somatic therapy for self esteem will provide:
I will be your safe guide to help map out what is present in your internal world that is holding on to the self doubt, people pleasing, fear, and discomfort.
Together we will then create a manageable and compassionate way to work with all the complex parts of you that we discover
We will get familiar with relationship, time, and energy boundaries and practice embodying them
We will release the internal pressure valve with compassion
I will also help you see the things you are doing right and well, so you can continue building confidence in yourself and connecting to your inner-knowing of what is right for you
I’ll help through this process by co-creating each step of the way to fit what is right for you in that exact moment. My approach to self esteem therapy comes from a place of trust and a deep knowing that within each person is their confident core self that just needs the right environment and support to be activated.

You don’t have to live life like you are your own enemy. It’s time to value all parts of yourself.

The short answer is no. We do the work together in session. Many times my clients chose to take practices from our sessions into their daily life, but that is their choice. I don’t assign worksheets or tasks.
